Care for your natural teeth

Periodontal Treatment

Gum disease is a serious condition that can destroy your smile and make you more susceptible to dangerous health conditions. In fact, periodontal disease is directly linked with conditions like:

  • Heart disease
  • Stroke
  • Diabetes
  • Obesity
  • Premature labor

Symptoms of Periodontal Disease

How do you know whether or not you have gum disease? Symptoms often include gums that bleed, are swollen, receded, bad breath and heavy tartar buildup. As the condition progresses, bone loss begins to occur. Ultimately the teeth become mobile and eventually fall out.

Healing Gum Disease

Our periodontal therapy appointments consist of deep cleanings where we thoroughly clean away all bacterial plaque and tartar from the pockets around your teeth. We will
numb the area around your teeth to make the cleanings comfortable. Then we will discuss ways for you to manage the condition in order to prevent tooth loss from occurring.

We conduct a periodontal assessment on all patients to screen for gum disease and bone loss.
