A healthy smile begins with a child.
If a milk molar tooth is destroyed so much that it can no longer be preserved, the tooth must be removed. Inadequate or incorrect treatment (e.g. drilling out and / or leaving the tooth) can lead to long-term damage, which we, your pediatric dentist in Zurich, would like to spare your child.
Removing the milk tooth creates a gap. This must be closed in order to maintain the function and development of the chewing organ. Unlike in adults, however, the gap must not be closed by a permanent denture. So-called placeholders offer an optimal solution for your child.
We decide in individual cases whether a fixed or removable placeholder should be preferred. Feel free to contact us – we will be happy to show you placeholders for the milk and mixed dentition.
